Oval installations with a constantly moving, organic image of my memories. When looking at the installation, we see our own reflection in the polarizing material. My memories are only mine. A memory is something in motion. It has eternal dynamism. Over time, memories blur. Through lived experiences, our memories deform. They are not objective. It is photographic images that can capture them in the most objective context. We have no control over what we remember, but our past and lived experiences shape us as individuals. Memories are like elements of human genetic anomalies enclosed in large jars. What is the process of forming a memory? How does the path of light look through the human eye, the optic nerve, to the brain? The images in the installation change dynamically and never stop. They consist of elements of photographs and films from my childhood, but they are processed, deformed in such a way that they are barely readable. The image appearing in the aquarium is made up of many small elements, and to see them, we must be close. Then we see ourselves in this enclosed installation. Developing Marianna Michałowska's idea of the ancestors' features shining through the faces of their descendants, in my installation, genetics is coupled with each viewer. Everyone has memories. The installation aims to unify my experiences with others. By enclosing this in the form of an aquarium, I am locking my memories in something like a disk/carrier. What is mine becomes yours. What is mine becomes a part of you.
