DUO ID

A mirror, a widow and a photograph - all of these objects exist independently yet their common interpretations constantly permeate. While Venetian windows pretend to be mirrors, similarly a mirror reflection acts like a photograph. A photographer’s role is to capture this magic transition of objects and show the viewer what is hidden from them. In this sense, we witness the transition from the immanent to transcendent world. The negative imitates reality, just like our mirror reflection, while the frame of a photograph becomes a window to the world, which is so much different from the captured image. “Duo Id”- the exhibition of members of Photography and Multimedia Forum association- the main organizer of Bialystok INTERPHOTO Festival, attempts at understanding “dichotomy” as an existential and spiritual experience of an individual.
